Head Coach - Richard Tavernaro
2007-08 brings
Coach Tavernaro to the Wheeler Wildcat Swim Team after 14 years as head coach at North Cobb High School. He is very
active in enhancing the presence of high school swimming around the state of Georgia. Aside from his position at Wheeler,
he also serves as President of both the Cobb Swim Coaches Association and the Georgia High School Swim Coaches Association.
Coach Tavernaro has been selected as the Cobb County Swim Coach of the Year four times (1998, 2000, 2001
and 2006).
Assistant Coach - Alan Gordon
Coach Gordon comes to Wheeler from Norcross High School,
where he was the head swim and dive coach. He currently teaches social studies at Wheeler.
