Head Coach - Richard Tavernaro
2008-09 will be Coach Tavernaro's second year at Wheeler Wildcat Swim Team after 14 years as head coach at North Cobb High School. He is very active in enhancing the presence of high school swimming around the state of Georgia. Aside from his position at Wheeler, he also serves as President of both the Cobb Swim Coaches Association and the Georgia High School Swim Coaches Association. Coach Tavernaro has been selected as the Cobb County Swim Coach of the Year four times (1998, 2000, 2001 and 2006). He is also the President of the Georgia High School Water Polo Association.

Assistant Coach - Michelle Colasurdo will be joining the team as assistant coach this year- it is her first year involved with swimming
Assistant Coach - Cameron Ward will also be joining the team this year as an assistant coach - he has a background in swim coaching and is a Wheeler graduate (and alum of the Wheeler swim team)
