11/21/09
The meet at McCallie went very well - despite having several of our scheduled swimmers out due to illness and other various reasons, we finished nicely in a very fast meet.

There were 27 teams from Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina represented in this meet. Our boys placed 14th and our girls placed 15th.  Freshman Gray Jones was our top finisher, placing second in the one meter diving competition (she also swam in two state qualifying relays). Kelsey Maloney also did well in the 100 yard butterfly, qualifying for the state championships in that event and all three relays. The Boys qualified both of their free relays for the state championships as well. Finally, there were 24 county championship qualifying times in this meet.

Our next meet will be in Dalton - more info later, but we will be leaving immediately after school that day on a bus - it should be a fairly short evening since it is only two teams competing - I'm guessing we'll be home before 9:00 that night.

There will be no practice during the Thanksgiving break. We will see you all on Monday after the break. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday.
